Teel & Company Internal Reporting

Last updated: July 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy
describes how the Teel & Company Internal Reporting application ("the Application") accesses and handles data. The Application is an internal tool operated by Teel & Company ("we," "us," "the Firm"), a strategy and CPA firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The Application is not distributed to or used by the public.

Scope of the Application
The Application is a private, internal integration used solely by Teel & Company to automate the Firm's own financial reporting. It connects to the Firm's QuickBooks Online company through Intuit's official API using OAuth 2.0 authorization. It is not offered to, marketed to, or made available to any third party.

Information We Access
Through the Intuit QuickBooks Online API, the Application accesses accounting data belonging to Teel & Company, which may include: financial reports (profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow), accounts receivable and payable aging, sales and invoice records, customer and vendor records, products and services, and chart-of-accounts information. Access is limited to the Accounting scope (com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting) and is used on a read-only basis for reporting. The Application accesses only the Firm's own QuickBooks company. It does not access data belonging to the Firm's clients' separate QuickBooks companies, and it does not collect personal information from any external individual through this integration.

How We Use the Information
Accessed data is used exclusively to generate internal financial and operational reports for Teel & Company's own management and administration. The data is not sold, rented, licensed, or shared with any third party, and is not used for advertising or marketing.

Data Storage and Security
Data retrieved by the Application is stored on systems controlled by Teel & Company and is accessible only to authorized Firm personnel. OAuth tokens used to authorize the connection are stored securely and are used only to obtain and refresh access to the Firm's QuickBooks company. Access can be revoked at any time by disconnecting the Application from within QuickBooks Online.

Data Retention
Reporting data is retained only as long as needed for the Firm's internal reporting and record-keeping purposes and is deleted or overwritten when no longer required.

Third Parties
The Application relies on Intuit, Inc. as the provider of the QuickBooks Online platform and API. Use of QuickBooks Online is governed by Intuit's own terms and privacy policy. The Application does not transmit accessed accounting data to any other third-party service.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
